James Scott-Harden has over 30 years design experience in kitchens and furniture. His attention to detail and problem solving coupled quality British craftsmanship ensures you will delighted with the end result for years to come. He will see the process through from consultation and initial design, to manufacture and final installation.
Our expertise is in designing and producing bespoke, handmade kitchens in classic and contemporary styles.
We also design and make fitted or freestanding furniture; such as tables and chairs, bookcases, kitchen islands, pantries and cupboards, as well as shelving and office furniture.

We at Damn Good Furniture are, first and foremost, craftsmen. Each project is approached with passion, pride and dedication; maintaining the skills, standards and aesthetics that give each project individual character and ensure the finest quality.
Our kitchens and furniture are made using carefully selected hardwoods from sustainable sources. Only the best and most suitable materials are used in the making of our furniture; starting with perfectly seasoned timbers with the best finishing waxes and polishes in the final stages.
Our tables are made using traditional hand-finished, pegged, mortise and tenon joints, that won't work loose over time. Table tops are fitted using wooden buttons that allow the timber to move with the changing seasons without splitting and we work rigorously to produce the best possible finish to our wooden furniture with endless buffing, polishing and waxing.

Whilst maintaining the traditional skills and techniques in making our furniture and kitchens, we have harnessed the latest in modern technology to help us realise your dream.
Each kitchen or piece of furniture is drawn in our CAD studio before we even think about lifting a chisel.
We like to think this marriage of old and new works in perfect harmony to produce the best possible result.

Damn Good Furniture are happy to design a full range of furniture, hand-made to order.
We have an extensive range of dinning room, kitchen and upholstered chairs including traditional Windsor and Ladder Back chairs and carvers and our own, exclusive, upholstered dining chairs.
We make all chairs and tables to order so they can easily be customised to your design. Or, if you prefer, we can design one especially for you.
